Automatically Respond to Messages in Support Channel

Automatically respond when a user sends a message to a support channel.

What’s it handy for?

Helpdesk+ will respond to any user who sends a message to a channel. Optionally, Helpdesk+ can provide a link to create a request, or a custom button that points to a URL you determine.

Use cases:

  • Onboarding
  • Helpdoc acceptance
  • Any other commonly-performed task by the Support team

To get started:

  • Install Helpdesk+ to your workspace
  • Connect to Jira
  • Navigate to the channel to have auto-create functionality enabled
  • Invite the Helpdesk+ bot to your channel
  • Select Support Channel
  • Select Configure
  • Select any number of issue types
  • Check the box next to Auto Response
  • Provide a message that Helpdesk+ should respond to users with
  • (Optional) Provide a Create Issue or Custom button
  • Click Submit
